National Safety Month 2024: Safety is Everyone’s Business!

"Safety is at the core of everything we do. By engaging our teams in activities like the FOD Walk, we actively ensure that our airport environments are safe, clean, and secure for both employees and passengers. It’s a responsibility we all share because safety truly is everyone’s business."

At Airport Development Group (ADG), we are proud to join the National Safety Month campaign, reinforcing the importance of creating safe and healthy workplaces across Australia.

As part of our commitment to safety, ADG staff participated in a FOD (Foreign Object Debris) Walk across the Apron and Air Operations Area, ensuring the elimination of small debris, loose objects, and any hazards that can impact our aviation environment.

The aviation industry takes FOD very seriously, as it can cause significant damage to equipment, injury to employees and passengers, and lead to potential safety violations.

Sandra De Kock, EGM People, Culture and Community at ADG, shares: "Safety is at the core of everything we do. By engaging our teams in activities like the FOD Walk, we actively ensure that our airport environments are safe, clean, and secure for both employees and passengers. It’s a responsibility we all share because safety truly is everyone’s business."

Together, we can build safer workplaces today for a better tomorrow!
