The Community Giving Program Committee (CGPC), comprises of volunteer staff members, was setup to distribute funds to support the disadvantaged members of our community. These funds are made up of fortnightly contributions from ADG staff and matched dollar for dollar by ADG and topped up through various fundraising initiatives held throughout the year.
One of the most prominent fundraisers is the Annual Charity Day, traditionally held every August. ADG staff and stakeholders, enjoy a fun day and raise money for a chosen local charity.
This year Foodbank NT received $16,000 from ADG's Workplace Giving. Donation will go towards providing fresh fruit to the students in their School Breakfast Program to improve student's concentration and behaviour after having breakfast.
ADG donated to TeamHEALTH for the purchase of 5 new mobility scooters. The scooters will be used to assist their 'Home Care Package' participants access services, people and places within our community.
Pancreatic Cancer has the lowest survivability rates in the world, with only 7% surviving past 5 years, and one third of patients not surviving the first year after diagnosis. On World Pancreatic Cancer Day, ADG staff flipped coins and spatulas for a special morning tea to fundraise for this worthy cause – Pancakes for Pancare!
Sparks flew when two Northern Territory fire services clashed in a charity football game at TIO Stadium. The match was held in memory of fallen firefighters Ryan Clay and Rohan Streeter as a fundraiser for the Alan Walker Foundation and Helping People Achieve charities. ADG were proud to sponsor the jerseys and shorts for the airport fireys.
Now in its
14th year, ADG’s Charity Day is an important part of our Community Giving Program, which supports charities and not-for-profit groups in the NT.
In 2022 the Charity Golf Day supported Henbury School and their mission to provide equal opportunities for all students with special needs, helping them achieve individual autonomy and full participation in the community.
Through the generous support of our sponsors, players, staff and volunteers, the Golf Day raised more than $50k.
