Airport Development Group (ADG) proudly supported the Stick Mob Portals Exhibition at this year’s Desert Festival, contributing $2,000 through its Community Grants Program. This initiative showcased the creative brilliance of young Indigenous artists and enriched the Northern Territory’s cultural landscape.
The Portals Exhibition, led by Stick Mob artists like Seraphina Newberry, offered an immersive exploration of First Nations storytelling, blending tradition with contemporary themes. It elevated Indigenous voices, fostered community connections, and amplified cultural pride.
Sandra de Kock, Executive General Manager, People, Culture, and Community at ADG, said "Supporting initiatives like the Stick Mob Portals Exhibition exemplifies our commitment to cultural diversity and community engagement. We are thrilled to help bring such meaningful experiences to life, which not only celebrate First Nations talent but also deepen community understanding and connections."
ADG’s Community Grants Program is dedicated to initiatives that strengthen communities and celebrate cultural heritage.
Applications for ADG’s 2024 Community Grants Round 2 are now open, closing Thursday, 19th December 2024.
