Airport Development Group was thrilled to participate in CareFlight's recent Open Day at their Darwin hangar. This partnership not only fosters cross-organisational peer learning but also included sharing the experience with the Indigenous Youth Mobility Pathway (IYMP), who are also providing critical opportunities for young Indigenous trainees to work alongside CareFlight and gain hands-on experience in aviation and rescue operations.
Sandra De Kock, Executive General Manager, People, Culture, and Community, emphasised the importance of this event "Collaborating with CareFlight allows us to share ideas and create meaningful connections with other airport-based organisations. This type of networking broadens opportunities for our trainees and ensures we’re all contributing to a more connected and resilient community."
Jodie Mills, General Manager, Northern Operations, reflected on the impact of the collaboration as CareFlight celebrates 10 years "This partnership opens doors for young Indigenous people across the Northern Territory, offering them real-world insights into life-saving aviation operations. Together, we are nurturing the next generation of leaders, ensuring they have access to pathways that empower and inspire."
